A leading environmental solutions company in Sandefjord is seeking a Process Engineer to help develop innovative treatment solutions for water and wastewater. Responsibilities include optimizing existing plants, designing new ones, and working closely with clients to meet their needs. The ideal candidate should have a relevant engineering degree and at least five years of related experience. Proficiency in Norwegian and English is required.
We are Veolia in Norway, and we are water experts within the world’s largest environmental company. Water is one of Veolia’s three core business areas, along with energy and waste. We develop and implement cutting‑edge technologies and technical solutions that contribute to the green transition.
Our projects range from municipal facilities to complex industrial systems. And you will join a local team based in Sandefjord, Norway, while also collaborating closely with strong professional groups and environments in Denmark and across the Veolia organization. You will have the opportunity to actively contribute to developing and strengthening our presence in Norway and help build a solid foundation in the market.
To strengthen our team, we are now looking for a Process Engineer who wants to help shape the future of water and wastewater solutions.
Your role
Your main goal will be to help our customers develop tomorrow’s treatment solutions – whether it involves optimizing existing plants or designing new ones. You will work with both established and innovative processes in new combinations and maintain close dialogue with customers’ technical staff.
The position is based in Norway, where you will be employed under Norwegian employment and contract terms. You will be part of EP Projects, Nordics and report to Line Bessermann, Project Director Norway.
Your tasks will include:
The work will be a combination of office-based tasks such as calculations and analyses, as well as hands‑on experience at various facilities.
About you
We imagine that you are educated as an environmental or chemical engineer, or have an equivalent technical background. You preferably have at least five years of experience from a similar role where you have worked with process calculations and gained knowledge of technologies within treatment plants and/or waterworks.
As a person, you are analytical and structured, and you thrive in dialogue with both customers and colleagues. You have a listening and solution‑oriented approach and are able to transform technical knowledge into solutions that create value in practice. You are motivated by taking responsibility and creating results together with others, and you are motivated by helping to build and develop Krüger Kaldnes in Norway.
You will receive close sparring with experienced process engineers who have many years of insight into the Norwegian market. You can therefore look forward to learning from the best while gradually taking on more responsibility as you develop. The most important thing is that you approach the job with curiosity and a desire to acquire new knowledge, so that over time you can stand strong independently in the role.
The position requires that you are proficient in Norwegian and English.
What we offer
With us, you will get a position with challenging tasks and good opportunities for professional development.
You will become part of an open and informal environment, where cooperation and knowledge sharing are a natural part of everyday life.
We emphasize your well‑being and offer flexibility, so you can combine a meaningful work life with your private life.
