Job summary

CDS Preschools in Maine is seeking Educational Technicians to teach and support children aged 3-5 with disabilities, preparing them for Kindergarten. Positions are full-time, academic or calendar year, at the Moose Meadows preschool in Norway.

Candidates should hold a Maine Ed Tech certification and pass a criminal history check. Experience with preschool populations and working with a multidisciplinary team is preferred, with a strong focus on safety and development.

Qualifications

• Current Ed Tech certification issued by the Maine Department of Education is required.
• Criminal history check and background checks are required.
• Experience with preschool populations and a multidisciplinary team is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Supervise small groups of students in center-based programs.
• Conduct one-on-one or small group instruction under indirect supervision.
• Introduce new learning planned with the Preschool Teacher of Children with Disabilities/Case Manager.
• Review and reinforce previously taught material by the teacher(s).
• Assist in preparing classroom materials and managing class activities.
• Model positive language and behavior for children and families.
• Contribute to completion and maintenance of individual observational records.
• Maintain confidentiality of student and employee information.
