Job description

Bulk Infrastructure is seeking an experienced Portfolio Planning Manager to take a strategic and operational role in leading integrated planning across a portfolio of complex capital projects. You will strengthen our project portfolio by ensuring predictable, high-quality execution across multiple projects running in parallel.

Bulk builds sustainable infrastructure that supports the digital society of tomorrow. As a leading Nordic provider of high-performance, energy-efficient data centre solutions, we design and operate infrastructure that powers the digital economy with 100% renewable energy.

Located within the PMO, you will serve as a key link across the project lifecycle, from early phase to construction. You will own the integrated planning perspective across multiple concurrent projects, ensuring cross-project alignment, reliable forecasting, and consistent planning standards throughout the portfolio. You will drive integrated planning and planning governance across the entire project landscape, ensuring early-phase assumptions, development inputs, and execution plans are fully aligned. By equipping Project Managers with clear structure and delivering portfolio-level insights, risk assessments, and scenario analysis, you will strengthen decision-making throughout the project organisation.

What you'll do

As our Portfolio Planning Manager, your key responsibilities will be to:

  • Lead integrated planning across multiple complex projects running in parallel while developing and maintaining integrated multi-discipline project schedules.

  • Ensure schedules comply with PMO standards and planning best practices.

  • Own the planning perspective across a portfolio of strategic projects, identifying cross-project dependencies, resource constraints, and delivery risks.

  • Lead portfolio-level progress monitoring, schedule variance analysis, performance reporting, and milestone forecasting across multiple concurrent projects.

  • Conduct schedule risk assessments and uncertainty analyses to strengthen forecasting accuracy and support scenario-based decision-making.

  • Challenge planning assumptions and proactively identify risks, trends, and mitigation opportunities to improve delivery predictability and support better decision-making.

  • Facilitate schedule reviews, planning workshops, and alignment sessions with key stakeholders.

  • Drive improvements in planning tools, templates, and digital workflows, including exploring new technologies such as generative AI.

  • Provide planning insights to support workforce and resource forecasting.

Who you are

You bring structure to complex situations and use analytical thinking to create reliable plans. You are comfortable working across multiple large-scale projects simultaneously and influencing senior stakeholders through structured planning, forecasting, and sound judgement. You identify risks early, ask the right questions, and approach challenges with a strategic problem-solving mindset. You communicate clearly, stay calm under pressure, and adapt quickly when plans change. You take initiative, seek better ways of working, and help raise planning quality across the organisation.

What you bring
  • 10 years of experience in multi-project planning for construction, engineering, or infrastructure projects.

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Project Management, or similar.

  • Strong proficiency in Primavera P6, MS Project, or similar tools.

  • Proven experience leading planning across multiple complex projects or project portfolios.

  • Solid understanding of critical path, sequencing, risk, and schedule control.

  • Experience providing planning insights, forecasting, and decision support to senior management or steering committees.

  • Strong stakeholder management, communication, and collaboration skills.

  • Fluency in English, written and spoken.

It is beneficial if you also have
  • Experience with data centres, energy, or mission-critical environments.

  • Planning certifications (PMI-SP, AACE PSP).

  • Experience with integrated project controls or earned value management.

  • Experience coaching or developing other planners.

Some travel to our sites will be required.

Do not let a few unmet requirements hold you back from applying. If you have a unique background and believe you can make a valuable contribution to the team, we would love to hear from you.

Why join us?
  • A key role shaping how one of the Nordics' fastest-growing digital infrastructure companies plans and delivers a portfolio of strategic capital projects.

  • Responsibility for planning across multiple major development and construction projects running in parallel, spanning early-phase development, new builds, and live campus expansions.

  • A chance to shape a planning function that is being strengthened and elevated.

  • A collaborative environment where your expertise is valued and your ideas are implemented.

What we offer our Bulkies
  • A dynamic, growth-oriented workplace with a strong sustainability focus.

  • Comprehensive insurance (health, travel – business & private) and annual health check.

  • Additional time off during Easter and Christmas.

  • Monthly contribution to home internet costs and sustainable commuting.

  • Annual wellness allowance to support an active lifestyle.

  • Fully paid parental leave.
