Job summary

AmpsTek in Oslo, Norway is hiring a Web Platform Engineer to design, build, and operate scalable web platforms that empower product teams. You will work with TypeScript, React, and Node.js, delivering robust, cloud-native solutions across AWS/Azure while maintaining strong DevOps practices.

The role offers hybrid work with 2–3 days onsite per week, collaborating with architects and engineers to shape platform strategy and tooling.

Qualifications

Experience as a Software Engineer or Platform Engineer building production systems at scale.
Strong expertise in modern web development with TypeScript, React, and Node.js.
Deep understanding of full-stack web architecture, APIs, authentication, performance, observability.

Responsibilities

Design, build, and evolve shared capabilities powering the web platform.
Collaborate with engineers, architects, and stakeholders on platform direction.
Take ownership of complex problems from design through production.
Design scalable architectures spanning APIs, databases, caches, queues, cloud infra, and distributed systems.
Build self-service platform capabilities enabling teams to deploy independently.
Improve developer experience through tooling, automation, libraries, and CI/CD.
Evaluate trade-offs and balance short-term delivery with long-term maintainability.
Collaborate across teams to build reusable platform capabilities.
Mentor colleagues and contribute to a strong engineering culture.
