Job summary

Nord University in Bodø invites applications for 1-2 temporary 100% PhD positions in Social Science, specializing in Indigenous history. Qualifications

• Bachelor’s and completed master’s degree in a relevant social science discipline or history.
• Solid knowledge of relevant theories and methods for the proposed PhD project.
• Admission to the faculty’s PhD programme is a prerequisite.
• Strong English skills, both written and oral; Scandinavian language proficiency at appointment.
• Final project proposal must be approved within three months of employment.
• Candidates who already hold a PhD will not be considered.

Responsibilities

• Conduct research on Indigenous history and revitalisation within the PhD project.
• Develop and formalize the final project proposal; contribute to dissemination of findings.
