Job summary

EURAXESS Ireland invites applications for a First Stage Researcher PhD fellowship at UiT – The Arctic University of Norway. This full-time position focuses on doctoral-level research in linguistics and related fields.

The successful candidate will develop a doctoral research project and complete a dissertation within three years. Benefits include an annual salary of 550,800 NOK, a pension scheme, flexible working hours, and opportunities for international research stays.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree must be completed before starting the fellowship.
• Minimum grade point average of B (or equivalent) on the master’s degree.
• Proficiency in English required.
• Desired: proficiency in Norwegian or another Scandinavian language.

Responsibilities

• Develop and conduct a doctoral research project.
• Link project to a research group or centre within the department.
• Submit a project description detailing the research topic and methodology.
• Complete dissertation work and submit it within 3 years.
• Participate in teaching and scholarly activities.
