The Gjærevoll Centre and NOTRAP centre will host the candidate, with supervision from multiple faculties and an emphasis on biodiversity and energy policy contexts.

The PhD aims to link biodiversity impacts of energy transition pathways with local perceived importance of habitats, contributing to NTNU Energy's Renewable Revolution focus area.

Qualifications

• Solid background in biodiversity, spatial ecology, or related fields.
• Strong quantitative/computational skills, especially in spatial analysis or biodiversity modelling.
• Good English communication and presentation skills.

Responsibilities

• Complete doctoral education and obtain a PhD.
• Conduct high-quality research within the project framework.
• Produce a high-quality PhD thesis suitable for publication.
• Disseminate results to academic and non-academic audiences.
• Collaborate with Gjærevoll Centre and NOTRAP centre; contribute to NTNU Energy activities.
