Join a fully remote legal support team working with a U.S. law firm focused on plaintiff-side personal injury cases. In this role, you will support attorneys throughout the entire case lifecycle, from initial client intake and evidence collection to settlement negotiations and litigation preparation. You will play an essential role in keeping cases organized, ensuring deadlines are met, and helping clients navigate the legal process with clear, consistent communication. Your work will involve coordinating medical records, insurance documentation, settlement demands, and court filings while collaborating with clients, healthcare providers, insurers, and legal professionals. This opportunity is well suited to an experienced legal professional who understands U.S. personal injury procedures and thrives in a detail-oriented, deadline-driven environment. The position offers full-time or part-time flexibility within a long-term remote working arrangement, with availability during U.S. business hours required.

Accountabilities
  • Support attorneys in managing plaintiff-side personal injury cases from initial intake through settlement or litigation.
  • Conduct client intake and collect essential information regarding accidents, injuries, insurance coverage, employment, and medical history.
  • Request, obtain, review, and organize medical records, medical bills, police reports, insurance records, and other supporting evidence.
  • Maintain regular communication with clients regarding medical treatment, case progress, missing documentation, and upcoming milestones.
  • Coordinate with medical providers, insurance adjusters, opposing counsel, expert witnesses, and other relevant parties.
  • Prepare settlement demand packages, settlement documentation, correspondence, case summaries, and supporting materials.
  • Track medical treatment, insurance coverage, liens, damages, settlement activity, and related case information.
  • Assist with lien resolution by gathering payoff statements and coordinating the necessary documentation.
  • Draft and prepare pleadings, discovery requests and responses, notices, subpoenas, and other litigation documents as required.
  • Support deposition, mediation, hearing, and trial preparation by organizing exhibits, medical records, damages evidence, and litigation materials.
  • Monitor statutes of limitation, court deadlines, discovery schedules, and other important case milestones to ensure timely action.
  • Prepare and submit court filings using applicable electronic filing systems.
  • Maintain accurate, complete, and well-organized digital case files using legal case management and document management platforms.
  • Follow established procedures, documentation standards, and quality requirements while managing multiple cases and competing priorities.
Requirements:
  • At least 5 years of professional experience as a paralegal, lawyer, or attorney.
  • At least 2 years of experience working as a personal injury paralegal for a law firm in the United States.
  • Strong practical knowledge of U.S. plaintiff-side personal injury matters and experience managing cases from intake through settlement.
  • Demonstrated experience obtaining and organizing medical records, medical bills, insurance documentation, and other supporting evidence.
  • Hands-on experience preparing settlement demand packages and supporting settlement processes.
  • Proven ability to communicate directly and professionally with clients, medical providers, insurance companies, attorneys, and other stakeholders.
  • Familiarity with bodily injury claims, insurance coverage, medical treatment documentation, liens, damages assessment, and settlement procedures.
  • Litigation support experience, including drafting pleadings, preparing discovery materials, and assisting with depositions, mediation, or trial preparation.
  • Strong understanding of statutes of limitation, court procedures, and case management deadlines.
  • Excellent legal writing, document preparation, proofreading, and organizational skills, with exceptional attention to detail.
  • Experience using personal injury case management software or other legal practice management platforms.
  • Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Office 365 or comparable cloud-based productivity tools.
  • Excellent written and verbal English communication skills.
  • A stable employment history, with at least two years of tenure in each previous role.
  • Advanced practical experience using AI tools such as ChatGPT, Claude, and Gemini to support professional workflows.
  • Reliable high-speed internet, suitable professional equipment, and a quiet home office.
  • Consistent availability during U.S. business hours and a commitment to a long-term remote position supporting a U.S. law firm.
  • Ability to work independently, manage sensitive information responsibly, prioritize tasks effectively, and maintain high-quality output in a remote environment.
