Job summary

Qualifications

• Fluency in English and at least one other language (Norwegian preferred).
• Proven experience as an interpreter or related role.
• Excellent verbal communication in English and the other language(s).
• Strong understanding of different cultures and customs.
• Ability to remain calm under pressure and think quickly.
• Familiarity with technical terms used in different industries is a plus.
• Must have own visa to work in Norway.

Responsibilities

• Provide interpretation services for meetings, conferences, and events.
• Interpret accurately and efficiently between two or more languages.
• Maintain confidentiality and impartiality at all times.
• Ensure cultural sensitivity when interpreting for different clients.
• Understand the subject matter to provide accurate interpretation.
• Take notes and prepare written translations as needed.
• Clarify ambiguous statements or cultural nuances during interpretation.
• Follow company policies and procedures regarding interpretation methods.
