Job description
The Opportunity

Level : open (from junior to senior)

Location : Oslo, Norway

Who we are :

Kurppa Hosk is a brand partner for companies seeking clarity, ambition and transformation. We help organizations define who they are and how they express themselves across identity, digital experiences, environments and physical brand expressions.

Our work within physical experiences is intentionally broad. You may come from industrial design, packaging engineering, product development, materials research or another field where form, function, sustainability, supply chain and user experience meet. What matters most is that you are motivated by shaping how brands become tangible and that you are comfortable moving from early exploration to prototyping and into production.

We have helped develop physical brand expressions and packaging systems for SAS, Sonos, Oura, Meta and Teenage Engineering, balancing brand clarity, material intelligence, manufacturability and environmental responsibility.

The role :

We are looking for someone who can translate brand identity and strategic intent into coherent physical experiences, packaging being the main focus.

You will work as part of one Kurppa Hosk alongside brand designers, strategists, art directors, digital designers and engineers.

What you’ll work on :
  • Structural packaging concepts and scalable physical systems
  • Material and manufacturing exploration with sustainability and cost-awareness in mind
  • Prototyping and model‑making from quick roughs to precise sampling
  • 3D modelling, CMF development and visualization
  • Production drawings, specification packs, supplier collaboration, sampling and quality checks
  • Physical brand extensions such as merchandising, gifting and on‑product brand elements
  • Translating brand identity into clear, tactile and repeatable physical experiences
  • Contributing to guidelines and systems that scale across product families and markets
You might be a good fit if you :
  • Have education or experience in industrial design, product design, packaging design, packaging engineering or a related materials or fabrication field
  • Work confidently in 3D tools (for example SolidWorks, Rhino, Fusion 360, KeyShot)
  • Care about how things are made, handled, shipped, displayed and used
  • Think structurally and systemically
  • Communicate clearly visually and verbally with both designers and suppliers
  • Enjoy collaborating and iterating in an open, hands‑on environment
  • Are pragmatic, curious and detail-oriented without being precious

Seniority is flexible. How you think and what you have built matters more than years of experience

We’re looking forward to hearing from you soon!
