The role offers varied clinical work, including outpatient consultations, diagnosis and treatment of ophthalmic conditions, surgery when appropriate, and strong multidisciplinary collaboration; language training and relocation support are provided.

Qualifications

• Specialist in ophthalmology with EU/EEA medical degree.
• Relevant clinical experience within ophthalmology.
• Ability to work independently and make clinical decisions.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills.
• Willingness to relocate to Norway and learn Norwegian.

Responsibilities

• Outpatient consultations, examinations and follow-up
• Diagnosis and treatment of ophthalmic conditions
• Ophthalmic procedures and surgery according to qualifications and experience
• Preoperative assessment and postoperative follow-up
• Collaboration with other medical specialties and healthcare professionals
• Participation in multidisciplinary meetings and quality‑improvement initiatives
• Participation in the on‑call rota according to competence
• Supervision and training of colleagues and medical students where relevant
