Job summary

PTGR AG is seeking a Back-End Developer to design, build, and maintain scalable server-side components, APIs, and microservices powering our applications. You will collaborate with frontend, AI, and infrastructure teams to deliver robust, secure services.

The role focuses on clean, well-documented code, data modeling, authentication, and reliable integration with third-party services and payment gateways to ensure a scalable backend across PTGR AG’s stack.

Qualifications

• Proficient in backend programming languages including Go, Node.js, Python, Java, or PHP.
• Experience with backend frameworks such as Express.js, Django, Spring Boot or Laravel.
• Strong knowledge of databases (SQL and/or NoSQL).
• Understanding of RESTful/GraphQL API design.
• Familiarity with cloud services and deployment (AWS, GCP, Azure).
• Strong problem-solving, debugging, and analytical skills.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team.

Responsibilities

• Develop, maintain, and optimize backend systems, APIs, and microservices.
• Manage and maintain databases and ensure data integrity and performance.
• Implement authentication, authorization, and security protocols.
• Integrate third-party services, payment gateways, and APIs.
• Ensure high performance, reliability, and scalability of backend systems.
• Write clean, maintainable, and well-documented code.
• Collaborate with frontend developers, product teams, and IT/DevOps for smooth deployment.
• Participate in code reviews, debugging, and troubleshooting.
• Implement unit and integration testing to ensure software quality.
• Keep up-to-date with backend technologies and best practices.
