A global leader in data center services is seeking a skilled Data Center Technician to provide on-site technical support in Tomter, Norway. The role involves responsibilities such as hardware troubleshooting, server rack management, and providing Remote Hands support. Flexibility for urgent requests is required, along with the capability to lift heavy equipment.

Qualifications

• Experience in working with data center infrastructure.
• Familiarity with server hardware and networking standards.
• Ability to lift equipment weighing over 25kg.

Responsibilities

• Provide Remote Hands & Smart Hands support for equipment.
• Install and decommission server racks as needed.
• Manage cross-connect and patch panel operations.
• Conduct troubleshooting and diagnostics for hardware.

Skills

Hands-on experience with data center infrastructure

Knowledge of server hardware, networking, and cabling standards

Strong communication skills in English

Flexible availability including weekends/holidays for urgent requests

Tools

Certifications: CompTIA Server+, Network+, CDCP, CCNA
