Job summary

A global leader in data center services is seeking a skilled Data Center Technician in Kristiansand, Norway. This role requires hands-on experience with data center infrastructure and knowledge of server hardware and networking standards. Responsibilities include providing technical support, managing equipment installations, troubleshooting issues, and ensuring operational readiness. The position requires strong communication skills and a flexible schedule, including availability for urgent on-call requests.

Qualifications

• Hands-on experience with data center infrastructure.
• Knowledge of server hardware, networking, and cabling standards.
• Ability to lift 25kg+ equipment.
• Flexible availability including weekends/holidays for urgent requests.

Responsibilities

• Provide Remote Hands & Smart Hands support.
• Install and decommission server racks.
• Manage cross-connect and patch panels.
• Perform hardware troubleshooting and diagnostics.
• Conduct visual inspections and inventory audits.
• Coordinate escort and access for client visits.
• Be available for emergency response.
