Job summary

Nscale seeks a Construction Manager to lead on-site delivery of the Glomfjord data centre project, overseeing day-to-day field execution, safety, and quality. You will coordinate contractors, trades, and inspections to keep the programme on track and within budget.

This role is field-based in Glomfjord, Norway, requiring strong leadership, practical construction experience, and the ability to challenge contractor performance while maintaining high safety standards.

Qualifications

• Extensive progressive construction management experience on large-scale infrastructure projects.
• Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications.
• Demonstrated leadership and effective communication in the field.
• Fluent in English; Norwegian language skills are a plus.
• Experience in Norway with contractors, authorities, inspections and permit-to-work.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate on-site construction activities across all phases and trades.
• Oversee general contractors, subcontractors and trades to ensure sequencing and quality.
• Support schedule management by validating progress and driving corrective actions.
• Assist cost control and change management with field-based validation and input.
• Maintain safety culture aligned with Norwegian HSE regulations and plans.
• Drive quality control: inspections, punch lists, testing, and commissioning.
• Serve as primary on-site contact for stakeholders, engineers, vendors, inspectors and authorities.
• Review drawings and submittals, resolve field conflicts and coordinate clarifications.
• Coordinate procurement and logistics for materials and long-lead equipment.
• Support permitting, inspections and regulatory compliance.
• Report progress, risks and milestones to leadership.
