Odfjell Drilling Ltd. is seeking a Norwegian Registered Nurse specialised in emergency medicine to join our gross fleet as an offshore medic.

You will handle acute medical incidents, maintain medications and equipment, and work under the Responsible Doctor’s supervision to ensure health preparedness on board. Role requires 3–5 years of pre-hospital experience, fluency in Norwegian and English, and strong collaboration with the OIM, safety representatives, and onshore medical staff.

Qualifications

• Norwegian Registered Nurse, preferably specialized in emergency medicine/anesthesia/intensive care
• 3–5 years of documented emergency medical experience
• Must be qualified according to the Competence Matrix and regulatory demands
• Fluent in Norwegian and English (speaking and writing)
• Computer skills for task handling in position
• Competence and experience with follow-up on working environment

Responsabilités

• The nurse must align with Odfjell Drilling’s Vision and core values
• Work according to Odfjell Drilling policies and procedures
• Safeguard legislative requirements for emergency medical and health preparedness
• Perform medical activities under supervision of the Responsible Doctor and report to the FAL and OIM daily
• Inform OIM about health matters impacting safety on board
• Actively participate in QHSE activities onboard the rig
• Provide medical diagnoses and treatment for acute diseases/illnesses and injuries with supervision
• Check, maintain and order medication and medical equipment
• Carry out weekly hygiene inspections with OIM and Camp Boss
• Assist in safety inductions and train personnel in first aid and related courses
• Record and follow up on Work Related Illnesses according to procedures
• Input and contribute to preventive health measures and surveillance
• Coordinate on-board health status updates in daily meetings
