Job summary

IKM in Stavanger is seeking an experienced Installation Engineer to develop installation methodologies, plan sequencing, and present solutions to clients. You will collaborate with the engineering department and produce work packages for offshore projects.

The role requires a minimum Fagbrev in EIT, 5+ years offshore/site experience, and ability to deliver presentations in English and Norwegian. Occasional offshore trips, full-time temporary contract from 02/11/2026 to 30/12/2027, 5-day work

Qualifications

• Minimum trade certificate (Fagbrev) in one or more EIT disciplines.
• At least 5 years of experience from offshore and site environments in a similar role.
• Experience within method engineering is an advantage.
• Leadership or supervisor experience is an advantage.
• Strong understanding of technical drawings and work descriptions.
• Good computer skills.
• Comfortable delivering presentations in both English and Norwegian.
• Valid certificates: Basic EX course, FSE (high and low voltage including first aid), and AT/SJA.
• Valid offshore survival certificate and health certificate.
• Language: Norwegian and English.
• Location: Stavanger (with occasional offshore trips)
• Work schedule: Full-time (5-day work week)
• Duration: Temporary contract (Planned: 02/11/2026 - 30/12/2027).

Responsibilities

• Develop installation methodologies and sequence jobs.
• Provide input to planning and scheduling.
• Present installation solutions and methods to the client.
• Collaborate closely with the engineering department.
• Produce work packages.
• Provide input for manpower and staffing.
