Job summary

Nexans is seeking a Logistics Coordinator for the Marine Equipment & Offshore Support (MEOS) team in Fredrikstad, Norway. You will coordinate daily logistics activities, work with Equipment Responsibles, Booking, Project Logistics and suppliers, and prepare materials for mobilizations and offshore requests.

A key part of the role is restocking containers and onboard storage rooms within short project windows, ensuring accurate records and safe handling of materials.

Qualifications

• Experience in logistics or warehouse operations, preferably within marine, offshore or heavy industry.
• Good understanding of inventory control, goods receipt and shipping processes.
• Experience using SAP or a similar inventory management system.
• Structured and accurate approach, with ability to prioritise when deadlines are tight.
• Practical mindset and willingness to handle daily warehouse activities.
• Strong safety awareness and ability to work independently and in a team.
• Good communication skills in Norwegian and English.
• Forklift certificate is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Handle goods receipt, storage, picking and internal transport of materials and equipment.
• Maintain accurate inventory records, perform stock checks and follow up stock discrepancies.
• Prepare and verify materials for mobilizations, demobilizations and offshore requests.
• Restock containers and onboard storage rooms with spare parts, tools and consumables.
• Prepare packing lists and shipping documentation for domestic and international shipments.
• Register and follow up material movements in SAP and other internal systems.
• Ensure safe handling and storage of materials, including chemicals and hazardous substances.
• Contribute to logistics risk assessments and follow safety and environmental procedures.
• Coordinate with internal teams, suppliers and service providers to meet operational deadlines.
• Identify and implement improvements in warehouse organization, material traceability and logistics routines.
