Job summary

NOV is seeking an engineer to develop and maintain PLC-based control systems for an Anti-Collision System on offshore rigs. You will deliver software upgrades, run tests and support field deployments with multidisciplinary teams.

The role emphasizes robust engineering, collaboration with field engineers and continuous improvement of system reliability and performance in a global offshore environment. Fluency in English is required.

Qualifications

Degree in Cybernetics, Mechatronics, Automation or related engineering field, or equivalent practical experience.
Experience with PLC programming and industrial control systems.
Understanding of machine-control principles and industrial automation.
Fluent English communication skills, both written and verbal.

Responsibilities

Develop, maintain and enhance PLC-based control systems for Anti-Collision System.
Deliver control-system software for upgrades and new installations.
Test and verify software to support robust, reliable and predictable system behaviour.
Contribute to integration with NOV automation and control systems.
Support commissioning, testing and troubleshooting with field operations.
Collaborate with field engineers and domain specialists to understand operational requirements.
Investigate technical issues and contribute to continuous improvements in system reliability and performance.
Document software changes, testing activities and technical solutions.
