Statsraad Lehmkuhl, Bergen, Norway, seeks a Science Coordinator to strengthen its role as a platform for ocean science, education and public engagement aboard the historic tall ship. Qualifications

• Minimum MSc in marine science, oceanography, environmental science, or related field.
• Fluent written and spoken English.
• Ability to communicate in Norwegian, Swedish, or Danish.
• Ability to work at sea for extended periods.
• Experience handling scientific equipment and field sampling.
• Applicants must be able to obtain the required maritime medical certificate for service at sea.

Responsibilities

• Oversee all scientific equipment on board, including operation and maintenance.
• Instruct crew and researchers in use of instruments.
• Coordinate research stations with captain and shore partners.
• Communicate and transfer research data to shore.
• Support outreach and education events onboard and in port.
