Job summary

Reboot Monkey in Rudshøgda, Norway is seeking a Data Center Technician to join our on-site team. This full-time role supports critical infrastructure in a world-class data center, performing installs, maintenance, and incident response.

The ideal candidate has 3+ years of data center operations experience, strong cabling and hardware skills (Cat6/6a, OM3/OM4/OS2 fiber), and relevant certifications. On-call rotations and documentation duties are part of the job.

Qualifications

• 3+ years data center operations experience
• Proficient in structured cabling (Cat6/6a, fiber OM3/OM4/OS2)
• Strong problem-solving and on-call readiness
• Excellent documentation and communication skills

Responsibilities

• Install, configure, and maintain server and network equipment
• Perform structured cabling (copper and fiber optic)
• Execute hardware deployments and decommissions
• Monitor environmental systems (power, cooling, security)
• Respond to incidents and perform troubleshooting
• Maintain accurate documentation and asset tracking
• Collaborate with engineering and operations teams
• Participate in capacity planning and upgrades
