Job summary

Hotel Union Øye, one of Scandinavia's iconic historic hotels, invites applications for a Night Receptionist starting 1 September 2026. You will welcome late arrivals, help ensure guests feel safe and well cared for, and sustain the calm, personal atmosphere that defines our guest experience.

You will oversee overnight routines, security procedures, and fire safety, while delivering thoughtful service throughout each guest's stay.

Qualifications

• Experience in hospitality, hotels, or guest service (Night Receptionist is a plus).
• Works independently and takes responsibility.
• Calm, organized and solution-oriented.
• Genuine passion for hospitality and memorable guest experiences.
• Excellent attention to detail.
• Fluent English; Scandinavian language is an advantage.

About the role

We are looking for a Night Receptionist to join our team from 1 September 2026.

As our Night Receptionist, you are the host throughout the night. You welcome late arrivals, ensure our guests feel safe and well cared for, and help maintain the calm and personal atmosphere that defines Hotel Union Øye.

In addition to managing the reception, you will be responsible for the hotel's overnight routines, security procedures, and fire safety, while ensuring that every guest receives the same thoughtful service throughout their stay.

We are looking for someone who

• Has experience in hospitality, hotels, or guest service (experience as a Night Receptionist is an advantage)
• Enjoys working independently and taking responsibility
• Is calm, organised, and solution-oriented
• Has a genuine passion for hospitality and creating memorable guest experiences
• Has excellent attention to detail
• Speaks fluent English; a Scandinavian language is an advantage
