Job summary

RedLine Freight Services is seeking a Network and Systems Administrator to manage and secure our Svalbard network and server infrastructure. You will handle switches, routers, VPNs, and firewalls while ensuring systems run reliably.

The role requires a Bachelor's degree and at least 3 years of network administration experience, with strong problem‑solving and teamwork abilities. Accommodation is provided as part of the package.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field.
• Minimum of 3 years experience in network administration.
• Strong understanding of network infrastructure and protocols.
• Experience with Windows Server and Linux server systems.
• Knowledge of virtualization technologies such as VMware or Hyper‑V.
• Experience with firewalls, routers, switches and other networking devices.
• Excellent problem‑solving skills and communication abilities.

Responsibilities

• Manage the company’s network infrastructure including switches, routers, firewalls, VPNs.
• Monitor network performance and troubleshoot issues as they arise.
• Install and configure software on servers and workstations.
• Perform routine maintenance on servers to ensure optimal performance.
• Provide technical support to employees regarding network connectivity or IT issues.
• Ensure network security by implementing proper protocols and procedures.
• Collaborate with IT team to implement new technologies or upgrades.
• Maintain accurate documentation of network configurations and changes.
