Job summary

Qualifications

We are seeking a skilled Network and Systems Administrator to join our team in Alta Norway. As a Network and Systems Administrator you will be responsible for the day-to-day maintenance and management of our companys network and computer systems. Your main goal will be to ensure the smooth operation of our network infrastructure servers and other IT equipment.

Key Responsibilities

• Designing implementing and maintaining network systems including routers switches firewalls and other hardware
• Troubleshooting network issues and providing timely resolution
• Installing and upgrading software applications on servers and workstations
• Monitoring network performance to identify and resolve any potential issues
• Managing user accounts permissions email addresses and security settings
• Conducting regular backups of data to ensure data recovery in case of system failures
• Coordinating with vendors for hardware repairs or replacements
• Maintaining documentation of network configurations procedures and updates

Requirements

• Bachelors degree in computer science or a related field
• Minimum 2 years experience in a similar role as a Network or Systems Administrator
• Strong knowledge of networking concepts such as TCPIP protocols routing protocols eg OSPF VPNs DNSDHCP
• Experience with Windows Server administration including Active Directory management
• Familiarity with virtualization technologies such as VMware or Hyper-V
• Ability to troubleshoot complex technical issues independently

Preferred Skills

• CCNA or other relevant certifications
• Familiarity with Linux operating systems
• Knowledge of cloud computing platforms such as AWS or Azure

The salary for this position is 1600$ per month.
