Job summary

Nord Gas Solutions is seeking a Mechanical Engineer PRE to support project execution for gas plants on LNG/LPG carriers, onshore and offshore. You will develop system design and engineering documentation, specify equipment, and review vendor documentation.

You will participate in design reviews, support commissioning and FATs, and ensure information flows across disciplines. Requires travel, multinational teamwork and fluent English.

Qualifications

• BSc/MSc in mechanical engineering or equivalent.
• Experience from maritime, Oil & Gas and/or process industry engineering.
• Technical knowledge of rotating and/or static mechanical equipment (Heat Exchangers, Pressure Vessels, Pumps, Compressors, Valves).
• Familiarity with Classification Society rules for marine industry (DNV, BV, LRS, ABS).
• Willingness to travel, occasional business trips.
• Ability to work in a multinational team.
• Fluent English in writing and speaking.
• Minimum 3 years of professional relevant experience.

Responsibilities

• Participation in project execution and studies for gas plants on LNG and LPG carriers, onshore and offshore.
• Development of system design and preparation of engineering documentation.
• Specify equipment for purchase, technical evaluation of bids, review of vendor documentation and supplier follow-up.
• Ensure relevant technical information flows through other engineering disciplines.
• Technical clarifications with customer, supplier, 3rd party (e.g. Class Society).
• Participate in design reviews e.g. Hazop sessions, 3D model review etc.
• Technical support for commissioning and start-up activities, participate in FATs at Suppliers facilities.
