You will design components, prepare drawings, collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, ensure standards compliance, and contribute to design reviews. Eligibility for Norwegian security clearance is required; CATIA experience is a plus.

Sperton is recruiting on behalf of our client for experienced Mechanical Design Engineers to join projects based in Kongsberg. Our client operates within a highly advanced and regulated technology environment, delivering complex and mission-critical solutions.

Mechanical design and development of components and systems
Preparation of technical documentation and design drawings
Close collaboration with multidisciplinary engineering teams
Ensuring compliance with relevant standards and project specifications
Participation in design reviews and continuous improvement processes
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline
Proven experience in mechanical design
Ability to work onsite in Kongsberg at least four days per week
Eligibility to obtain Norwegian security clearance within approximately three months, in accordance with national regulations
Please note: Security clearance eligibility is determined by Norwegian authorities and may involve specific citizenship and background requirements.
Experience with CATIA (design software) is a strong advantage
Background from defense, aerospace, or other highly regulated industries
