Job summary

Air Products is seeking a senior leader to strengthen HSE, Quality and Compliance across our engineering and industrial operations. You will drive governance, audits and continuous improvement, partnering with local and global stakeholders.

The role requires strong leadership, English and Norwegian fluency, and the ability to influence across teams while upholding regulatory and corporate standards.

Qualifications

• Extensive relevant experience in HSE, Quality, Compliance, or Operational Excellence within engineering, manufacturing, marine or industrial environment.
• Strong understanding of HSE legislation, ISO-based management systems, audit methodology, root cause analysis, corrective action management, and compliance governance.
• A proactive mindset and a strong drive for continuous improvement.
• The confidence to challenge constructively and promote high standards.
• Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to engage and influence both operational teams and senior management.
• Fluency in both Norwegian and English, written and spoken. Norwegian language capability is important for effective engagement with local regulatory authorities, customers, and operational teams.

Responsibilities

• Promote and strengthen a proactive safety culture and drive HSE excellence across the organization
• Lead and continuously improve our Quality Management System.
• Ensure compliance with regulatory, customer, industry, and corporate requirements.
• Plan and manage internal, external, customer, and certification audits.
• Act as an independent assurance authority, providing objective oversight and governance.
• Monitor emerging regulatory requirements and translate them into effective business practices
• Lead investigations, root cause analyses, and corrective action processes to ensure continuous learning and improvement.
• Partner with local and global stakeholders to implement best practices and corporate standards.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives that enhance safety, quality, compliance, and operational performance.
• Provide strategic guidance to the Leadership Team on HSE, Quality, Compliance and business risk.
