Job summary

Central Maine Medical Center in Lewiston, Maine, is seeking an experienced LPN/LVN for the Med-Surg unit. This full-time night shift features 12-hour shifts from 7p to 7a, with a sign-on bonus and competitive pay.

You will provide bedside care, monitor patients, assist with medications and IV therapy, document in EMR, and collaborate with RNs and physicians. A high school diploma, current LPN/LVN license, and BLS are required; IV and BW certifications within 90 days are expected.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• LPN/LVN required.
• IV and BW certifications within 90 days of hire.
• Current BLS certification upon hire and maintained.
• Work experience in health care preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide bedside patient care in a Med-Surg environment.
• Monitor vital signs, patient status, and clinical changes.
• Assist with medication administration, IV therapy, and blood draws.
• Support care plans and patient throughput.
• Collaborate with RNs, physicians, and interdisciplinary teams.
• Ensure patient safety, infection control, and compliance.
• Document care in EMR/EHR systems.
• Communicate changes in patient condition promptly.

Central Maine Medical Center offers competitive compensation and a reasonable compensation estimate for this role is $27.00 to $30.75.
