Bergen Engines is seeking an experienced power systems engineer to take technical ownership of the electrical side of generator set solutions, from early system studies through grid compliance and commissioning.

You will work with engine, control, and mechanical specialists in Bergen and with electrical colleagues worldwide, contributing to island-mode and grid-connected solutions for critical installations.

Competenze

• Degree in Electrical Power Engineering or related discipline.
• Several years of professional experience in power systems.
• Experience with protection principles and relay configuration.
• Familiarity with grid codes and standards (IEC, IEEE, DNV, ENTSO-E).

Mansioni

• Lead modelling and studies for power generation and transmission systems.
• Define and verify protection settings for generators, transformers, feeders, and busbars.
• Size key electrical components for projects and ensure grid code compliance.
• Develop island-mode and grid-connected solutions including microgrid control.
• Support commissioning and troubleshooting of delivered installations.
