EUROSPAR Moa in Ålesund, Norway, is seeking a passionate Retail Butcher and Meat Department Manager to lead our fresh meat department and drive quality, service and growth in a busy supermarket.

This hands‑on leadership role combines traditional butcher skills with people management. You will cut, prepare and present products, supervise staff, manage stock and ensure hygiene and food safety while delivering an exceptional customer experience to our local community.

Qualifications

• Experience as a butcher, preferably in supermarket or retail meat department.
• Strong knowledge of cutting, preparation, presentation and quality control.
• Experience leading a team or ambition to develop into a leadership position.
• Good understanding of food safety, hygiene and quality standards.
• Passion for customer service and sharing meat knowledge.
• Ability to take responsibility and motivate colleagues.
• English communication; Norwegian learning is an advantage.
• Positive attitude and strong work ethic.

Responsibilities

• Cut, prepare, pack and present fresh meat and specialty products.
• Lead, motivate and develop team members.
• Plan daily operations, order products and manage stock.
• Ensure excellent product quality, freshness, hygiene and food safety.
