Job summary

Job description
As Lead Cost Controller you will:
  • Develop, maintain, and monitor project budgets, forecasts, and cost baselines in collaboration with the PMO and project teams.
  • Track actual costs versus budgets, report variances, and provide proactive insights to support project and portfolio decisions.
  • Assess and document the cost impact of scope changes, variations, and risks, ensuring accurate and timely forecast updates.
  • Oversee contract and procurement costs, validating supplier invoices and monitoring financial commitments.
  • Support cash flow forecasting, contingency tracking, and cost risk analysis across projects and the portfolio.
  • Ensure consistency and integrity of financial data across cost control tools, ERP systems, and PMO reporting formats.
  • Lead the development and implementation of scalable cost control frameworks, templates, and governance structures, ensuring consistent practices across projects and the PMO.
  • Drive the selection, configuration, and adoption of cost control systems and digital tools, and ensure continuous improvement of processes and reporting to support reliable, data-driven project delivery.

What you bring
  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Engineering, Business, or a related field.
  • Strong experience in budgeting, forecasting, and project cost control practices.
  • Proficiency in Excel and financial/project management systems.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in project cost control, project accounting, or financial planning in a project-based organization.
  • Experience supporting multiple stakeholders and project types concurrently.
  • Experience developing or improving cost management systems, processes, or methodologies is a strong advantage.
  • Fluency in English with strong reporting capabilities.
It would also be beneficial if you have:
  • Certification or training in project controls, cost engineering, or project management.
  • Familiarity with infrastructure or capital projects, including planning and procurement cycles.
  • Background in infrastructure, construction, or data center projects.
  • Experience working within or alongside a PMO structure.
