A leading civil engineering firm is seeking a Laboratory Officer in Kristiansand, Norway. This role involves supervising in-house materials testing, ensuring compliance with Norwegian standards, and managing laboratory activities. Candidates should have a degree in Civil Engineering and at least 3 years of experience in civil works projects. The position offers an opportunity to work on a high-impact European infrastructure project within an international team.

We are in an exciting period of new opportunities in Europe. We are strengthening our international team and have recently won the contract to build the new section of the E18-E39 motorway in Kristiansand, Norway.
Eiffage, through its subsidiary Eiffage Génie Civil, has won the design‑build contract awarded by Statens Vegvesen, a company owned by the Norwegian Ministry of Transport, to build the new section of the E18-E39 urban motorway between Gartnerløkka and Kolsdalen in Kristiansand, Norway, at a cost of more than €234 million (NOK 2,755 million).
The aim of the contract is to increase the capacity of the main interchange providing access to the city centre and port activities of the country's 6th largest city. It involves the construction of a 1.4 km 2x2 lane motorway in a dense urban area, including the construction of 12 structures, the reconstruction of 1.5 km of track, as well as the redevelopment of the existing ferry terminal and the installation of electrical and traffic engineering equipment.
As Laboratory Officer M/F, you will supervise all in‑house materials testing activities for the project, in coordination with the Quality team and the construction teams. You will ensure full compliance with contract specifications and Norwegian (NPRA) standards.
You will report directly to the Quality Manager.
