Job summary

Twoja Norwegia in Ålesund is seeking an enterprising kitchen assistant/cook to cover parental leave in a kindergarten with 105 children and about 25 staff. The role offers great flexibility to plan the day within opening hours, while ensuring meals and baking are prepared from scratch and kids enjoy meals.

You will work with the daily manager to stay within budget and develop economical meal solutions. Start date in December or by 4 January, with a project position running until 02.07.2027 and

Qualifications

• Passion for cooking and healthy food.
• Structured, enterprising and efficient approach to work.
• Knowledge of hygiene and allergy management.

Responsibilities

• Prepare lunch and hot meals from scratch, bake and prepare afternoon meals/breakfast.
• Possible to use Norlandia's ready weekly menus or your own recipes.
• Involve children in cooking in a safe and inspiring way and help relieve other staff.
• Assist daily manager in staying within budget and creating economical solutions.
