Job summary

RedLine Freight Services seeks a Typesetting Assistant to support the Typesetter with formatting and layout for print and digital documents. Based in Svalbard, you will gain hands-on experience in the publishing workflow while collaborating with a small team to meet deadlines.

You should have a strong eye for detail, be proficient in Adobe InDesign and Word, and possess solid communication skills. Prior typesetting or design experience is a plus.

Qualifications

• Proficiency in Adobe InDesign and Microsoft Word.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to follow design guidelines.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

• Experience with typesetting or graphic design preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Typesetter in formatting and layout of text, images and other elements according to design specifications.
• Proofread documents to ensure accuracy of text spacing and formatting.
• Collaborate with other team members to meet project deadlines.
• Organize and maintain files for easy access and retrieval.
• Use software programs such as Adobe InDesign and Microsoft Word to typeset documents.
• Communicate with clients to gather project requirements and make necessary revisions.
