Job summary

VertexGlobal in Oslo is hiring a Junior Instrument Technician to support installation, maintenance and repair of instruments used in industrial processes. This entry-level position offers hands-on experience and a clear path to grow in instrumentation.

You will assist senior technicians with installation, calibration and testing, perform routine maintenance, and keep precise records. Local candidates are preferred and accommodation is provided to help you settle in Oslo.

Qualifications

• Technical diploma or degree in Instrumentation or a related field.
• Basic knowledge of electronic circuits and principles.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to read technical manuals and wiring diagrams.
• Good communication skills and ability to work well within a team.
• Physically fit to perform tasks such as lifting heavy equipment.

Responsibilities

• Assisting senior technicians with installation, calibration and testing of instruments such as pressure gauges and sensors.
• Conducting routine maintenance and troubleshooting to ensure optimal performance.
• Identifying and reporting malfunctions or defects in equipment.
• Following safety procedures when working with hazardous materials.
• Maintaining accurate records of work performed and inventory levels.
• Collaborating with team members to troubleshoot complex issues.

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Instrument Technician to join our team in Oslo As a Junior Instrument Technician you will be responsible for assisting in the installation maintenance and repair of various instruments and equipment used in industrial processes This is an ideal opportunity for freshers to gain hands-on experience in the field of instrumentation

• Assisting senior technicians with the installation calibration and testing of instruments such as pressure gauges temperature sensors flow meters etc
• Conducting routine maintenance and troubleshooting of instruments to ensure optimal performance

• Following safety procedures while working with hazardous materials
• Maintaining accurate records of work performed and inventory levels
