A leading global events business is seeking a driven Event Sales Manager to focus on new business sales for exhibitions and sponsorships. The ideal candidate will have 1-4 years of experience in sales within media or similar industries. The Role of Event Sales Manager (100% new business)

You will be selling exhibition and sponsorship opportunities across a number of physical events as well as meetings packages across a number of virtual events, all of which are part of a globally recognised and highly respected event series. You will be 100% new business focused, and therefore will be someone who loves the thrill of the chase. You will be selling to director level decision makers of European Tech companies (large and small) and will be negotiating sometimes very large deals.

You will be working in a very fast-paced environment, sourcing your own leads whilst also chasing opportunities which the marketing team have supplied. You will be someone who lives and breathes the role, is passionate about the success of the event and is motivated by the opportunity to earn lots of commission and appreciate early career development/promotion.

Requirements for this Event Sales Manager position
  • 1-4 years new business sales experience within media, events, subscriptions, SaaS or similar
  • Experience of selling to senior decision makers
  • Well educated, highly articulate and very confident (not arrogant)
  • High work rate
  • Highly driven and self motivated
  • Loves new business and working in a fast-paced environment
  • Passionate, outgoing and naturally positive/lively
  • Money motivated - you can easily hit target and could double your basic salary and see quick promotion
  • High attention to detail - CV's with spelling errors will be rejected
  • 2:1 or 1st degree
