As a Junior Developer in our rapidly growing software development company based in Svalbard you will have the opportunity to work on a variety of projects and gain valuable experience in the field We are looking for a highly motivated individual with a passion for coding and a strong understanding of programming fundamentals This is a contract position with the potential for long-term employment

• Collaborate with senior developers to design develop and maintain software applications

• Troubleshoot and debug code to resolve issues
• Stay up-to-date with emerging technologies and industry trends
• Participate in code reviews to ensure quality standards are met

Requirements

• Bachelors degree in Computer Science or related field or equivalent work experience
• At least 1 year of professional experience as a developer
• Strong knowledge of programming languages such as Java Python or C++
• Experience working with databases SQL or NoSQL
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
• Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
• Excellent communication skills

Preferred qualifications

• Experience with web development frameworks such as Angular or React
• Familiarity with Agile methodologies
• Experience working in a fast-paced environment
• Ability to adapt to changing project requirements

Salary

Salary $1700 per month negotiable depending on experience
