We are seeking a highly motivated and talented Junior Developer to join our team on a contract basis in Svalbard As a Junior Developer you will work closely with our senior developers to design develop and implement software solutions that meet the needs of our clients This is an exciting opportunity to gain hands‑on experience and advance your skills in a dynamic and fast‑paced environment

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with senior developers to understand project requirements and design solutions
• Write clean efficient and maintainable code
• Test and debug code to ensure high-quality deliverables
• Participate in code reviews to provide constructive feedback
• Stay updated on industry developments and technologies to continuously improve skills
• Communicate effectively with team members and stakeholders

Requirements

• Bachelors degree in Computer Science or related field
• At least 1 year of experience as a developer or in a similar role
• Proficient in one or more programming languages such as Java Python or C++
• Familiarity with web development tools such as HTML CSS and JavaScript
• Experience with database management systems like MySQL or MongoDB
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
• Ability to work independently as well as part of a team

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience working on projects using Agile methodologies
• Knowledge of version control systems such as Git or SVN
• Familiarity with cloud computing platforms like AWS or Azure

This is a contract position for 6 months with the possibility of extension

The salary for this role is $1600 per month
