Job summary

AquaNav, a growing accounting firm in Alta, Norway, is seeking a highly motivated Junior Accountant with at least 2 years in bookkeeping or accounting. The role focuses on daily tasks, financial statements, and client communications, with strong regulatory knowledge and attention to detail.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field preferred.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in bookkeeping or accounting.
• Strong knowledge of financial regulations, policies and procedures.
• Experience with accounting software such as QuickBooks or Xero.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills; detail-oriented and well organized.

Responsibilities

• Perform daily accounting tasks including accounts payable and receivable, bank reconciliations and journal entries.
• Assist with the preparation of financial statements and reports.
• Maintain accurate and organized financial records.
• Communicate with clients to resolve financial discrepancies or issues.
• Ensure compliance with financial regulations and internal policies.
• Update and maintain accounting databases and systems.
• Support senior accountants with various tasks as needed.
