Morgan Advanced Materials is seeking a Junior Reporting Accountant to join our Shared Service Centre in Juriquilla, Querétaro. You will support the Group Reporting team, collaborating with colleagues across Europe on reconciliations, statutory accounting, and audit requirements.

Qualifications

  • Previous experience in financial reporting, accounting, reconciliations, or a similar finance role.
  • Fluent English communication skills, both written and spoken.
  • Strong reconciliation skills and understanding of month-end accounting processes.
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills and confidence using Microsoft Office applications.
  • Excellent attention to detail and a methodical approach to your work.
  • Strong organisational and time management skills, with the ability to meet deadlines.
  • The ability to work independently and use initiative when solving problems.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build effective working relationships across different teams and cultures.
  • Experience handling confidential information in a professional manner.
  • Experience with Microsoft Dynamics or another ERP system would be advantageous.
  • Experience working within a multinational business would be beneficial but isn't essential.

Responsibilities

  • Support general ledger accounting activities and maintain assigned accounts.
  • Process, record, maintain and reconcile accruals, prepayments, provisions and other balance sheet accounts.
  • Complete monthly reconcilations in line with agreed deadlines.
  • Investigate and resolve reconciliation queries efficiently.
  • Support statutory accounting and compliance activities across the EMEA region.
  • Assist with the preparation and filing of statutory accounts.
  • Work with external auditors and other professional advisers during audit and compliance activities.
  • Help document and standardise finance processes across the region.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives, including process automation and best practice development.
  • Provide support to the wider finance and reporting team when required.

We're looking for a Junior Reporting Accountant to join our Shared Service Centre in Juriquilla, Querétaro. You'll support the Group Reporting team, working with colleagues across Europe on reconciliations, statutory accounting, reporting activities and audit requirements. As you'll be collaborating with international stakeholders on a daily basis, fluent English is essential.

The Role

This is an excellent opportunity for someone with accounting and reconciliation experience who wants exposure to a global finance environment.

You'll support month-end reporting activities, maintain balance sheet accounts, assist with statutory compliance requirements, and work closely with internal and external stakeholders to ensure financial information is accurate and delivered on time.
