Job summary

MapleGroves in Oslo, Norway is seeking an IT Support Specialist to deliver frontline technical assistance to clients and staff. You will troubleshoot hardware and software issues, install and maintain computer systems, and help secure and optimize the company network.

The ideal candidate has at least 2 years of experience, familiarity with Windows and Mac, and experience with remote support tools and ticketing systems. Join our team to solve problems and ensure smooth IT operations.

Qualifications

Requires a bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field.
Minimum 2 years of experience as an IT Support Specialist or similar role.
Strong knowledge of hardware, Windows & Mac OS, TCP/IP networking, and troubleshooting.
Experience with remote desktop tools such as TeamViewer or AnyDesk.
Familiarity with ticketing systems such as JIRA or ServiceNow.
Excellent communication skills to explain technical concepts to non-technical users.
Self-motivated with ability to work independently or in a team.

Responsibilities

Provide technical assistance to clients and staff via phone, email, or in-person.
Troubleshoot hardware and software issues on desktops, laptops, printers, and other devices.
Install and configure computer systems including operating systems, applications, and drivers.
Maintain network security by implementing antivirus software, firewalls, and other measures.
Monitor system performance for maximum efficiency.
Collaborate with team members to resolve complex technical issues.
Document all support activities in the ticketing system.
Identify recurring issues and provide permanent solutions.
