Job summary

TGS International Group is seeking a Hyperscale Connectivity Project Manager to lead end-to-end hyperscale data centre connectivity projects across Europe. The initial focus includes an AI infrastructure deployment in Norway, followed by additional European programs in Norway and Portugal.

Responsibilities

• Lead hyperscale cabling, fibre and rack deployment programmes within data centres.
• Manage spine-leaf architectures and high-density compute fibre routing and testing.

• Oversee patching, labelling, testing and project handover.
• Develop delivery plans, resource models and risk registers.
• Lead engineering teams, site leads, subcontractors and vendors.
• Manage multiple workstreams and 24/7 environments where required.
• Act as senior day-to-day client contact and provide updates on progress and risks.
• Control budgets, forecasting, change management and margins.
• Ensure compliance with RAMS, safety and quality standards.

Hyperscale Connectivity Project Manager – Europe

TGS International Group is currently recruiting for an experienced Hyperscale Connectivity Project Manager to join a rapidly growing specialist technology and connectivity organisation delivering high-density data centre infrastructure across Europe.

The successful candidate will initially support a major AI infrastructure deployment in Norway, before progressing onto further European hyperscale programmes, including additional projects in Norway and Portugal.

The Role

You will take end-to-end ownership of hyperscale connectivity projects, from pre-construction handover through mobilisation, delivery, commercial close and client sign-off.

Key responsibilities include:

• Lead structured cabling, fibre and rack deployment programmes within hyperscale Data Centre environments.
• Manage high-count fibre deployments supporting spine-leaf architectures, backbone connectivity and high-density compute environments.
• Coordinate rack installation, rack readiness and server/network hardware deployment interfaces.
• Manage patching, labelling, testing and project handover.
• Develop project delivery plans, resource models, programmes, risk registers and reporting.
• Lead engineering teams, site leads, subcontractors and third-party vendors.
• Manage delivery across multiple workstreams and shifts, including 24/7 environments where required.
• Act as the senior day-to-day client contact.
• Provide clear updates on programme progress, risks, constraints and recovery actions.
• Manage project budgets, forecasting, cost control, change management and margin performance.
• Ensure projects meet hyperscale quality, safety, security and operational standards.
• Oversee RAMS and site-governance requirements.
• Support technical and commercial solution development during pre-sales and future client opportunities.

What We're Looking For

• Proven Project Manager / Programme Manager experience delivering hyperscale Data Centre connectivity projects.
• Strong hands‑on understanding of structured cabling, fibre infrastructure, rack installation and physical Data Centre deployment.
• Experience delivering major fibre and copper programmes within live or construction-phase data halls.
• Strong knowledge of high‑density rack environments, fibre routing, containment, patching and testing.
• Experience with AI, GPU or HPC environments is highly advantageous.
• Understanding of spine‑leaf network architecture and the physical connectivity required for high‑throughput compute environments.
• Proven experience leading engineers, subcontractors and site teams.
• Strong client‑facing and stakeholder management skills.
• Confidence leading governance meetings, managing escalations and providing programme reporting.
• Strong commercial awareness across budgets, forecasting, change control and project margins.
• Willingness to travel extensively across European project locations, including periods of 2–3 weeks away at a time.
• EU / EEA passport required for repeated European project deployments.
• £70,000–£75,000 equivalent base salary, depending on experience and employing country.
• Permanent employment through the company's UK, Irish or Swedish entity.
