Job summary

Heimstaden is a pan-European real estate investor and operator seeking an Indirect Tax Manager based in Copenhagen or Oslo. The role focuses on leading VAT optimisation, ensuring compliant and efficient indirect tax operations across Heimstaden Bostad jurisdictions.

You will collaborate with local finance teams, drive VAT initiatives for new developments and transactions, and manage VAT audits while staying ahead of EU VAT changes to support sustainable value creation.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Law or Finance required.
• 6–8 years of indirect tax experience in a multinational environment.
• Strong understanding of EU VAT rules and VAT in Scandinavia.

Responsibilities

• Lead VAT structuring for group transactions and new market entries.
• Coordinate with local tax and finance teams across jurisdictions to ensure consistency.
• Review VAT registrations and VAT groups to optimize structure and cost.
• Train AP/AR teams in VAT handling across all countries.
• Standardize VAT processes across the group and advise on ERP/invoicing systems.
• Conduct internal controls on VAT to ensure correct handling.
• Lead VAT audits across jurisdictions and manage external advisors.
• Monitor international tax developments and assess impact on group planning.
• Support development projects with VAT planning and compliance.
