Job summary

QED Legal LLP represents an in-house role for a Legal Counsel in London, hybrid working. The role focuses on high-value commercial agreements, technology contracts and regulatory matters across the UK and Europe.

The successful candidate will draft, review and negotiate complex contracts and provide pragmatic legal advice to senior stakeholders while supporting government contracting and governance initiatives.

Qualifications

• Qualified solicitor in England & Wales with approximately 4–10 years PQE.
• Strong experience drafting and negotiating complex commercial contracts involving technology.
• Experience advising on public procurement and government contracting.
• Capable of providing pragmatic, commercially focused legal advice to senior stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Draft, review and negotiate complex commercial agreements, software licensing and technology contracts.
• Advise the business on commercial, regulatory and strategic legal matters across UK/Europe.
• Support public sector and government contracting activities and navigate procurement requirements.
• Provide advice on IP, data protection, export controls and regulatory compliance.
• Collaborate with senior stakeholders across legal, commercial, engineering and product teams.
• Assist with corporate governance, compliance and legal risk management across jurisdictions.
• Work with colleagues across Europe on cross-border matters and best practices.
