Job description

Act in a senior capacity to support the day-to-day functions of the regional Health, Safety and Environment Department. Provide health, safety and environmental management support to offshore and onshore regional activities. Liaise with all departments and vendors to support continual improvement with regard to health, safety and environmental performance.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
  • Focal point for HSE activities for assigned rigs. Work closely day-to-day with Rig Management onshore and offshore.
  • Assist direct supervisor with day-to-day management of the HSE Department.
  • Assist in the development and maintenance of HSE policies and procedures, strategies, practices and programs as required.
  • Support the development of interface, bridging documents with clients, emergency response plans and risk management studies as required.
  • Facilitate updates, management, compliance and communication of HSE Cases for assigned rigs.
  • Participate as team leader on Noble incident investigation teams.
  • Plan, conduct, and document audits of Noble’s HSE management system requirements and generally accepted safe practices on Noble rigs and shore-based locations in region of responsibility.
  • Represent Noble at the business unit level with customers as required.
  • Identify opportunities for improvement, share lessons learned and ensure implementation of agreed improvements.
  • Represent Noble on industry committees and projects as directed by supervisor.
QUALIFICATIONS
  • Five years of relevant experience in the energy industry with experience in maintaining a world-class HSE infrastructure and system.
  • Detailed knowledge of coastal state regulatory requirements affecting operations.
  • Knowledge of global regulatory requirements, legislation and MODU codes such as, ISM, ISPS, SOLAS, MARPOL etc.
  • Expert knowledge of health, safety and environmental management system dynamics.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, a high level of technical knowledge and capability and the ability to work effectively with a broad range of people – from corporate leadership, hemisphere managers, field employees, government regulatory personnel and customers.
  • Excellent oral and written communications skills in English and Scandinavian language.
  • Must possess a high level of integrity in all situations.
