Responsibilities

• Monitoring and improving energy usage and environmental performance.
• Managing suppliers and ongoing service agreements.
• Day-to-day maintenance including painting, repairs, and care of outdoor areas with maintenance.
• Prioritising guest needs and ensuring all facilities are fully functional.

As the Housekeeping & Technical Manager of Comfort Hotel Xpress Youngstorget, you’ll manage a team of 15 people—a diverse team working seven days a week, 52 weeks a year.

Responsibilities

• Meeting guests with a friendly, no-nonsense approach, setting the tone for a great stay
• Day-to-day operation of the building and “Keeping house” according to the Comfort Housekeeping Manual
• Ensuring 100% room capacity every day, all year round, and honoring the guaranteed check-in time
• Keeping the hotel clean and tidy, buzzing with energy and positivity, working closely with colleagues to maintain Comfort’s effortless, urban vibe
• Supporting the team, together with the Assistant Housekeeping Manager, with everything needed to perform the above while following Comfort rules and guest promises
• HSE, inventory management, purchasing and supplier loyalty, chemical and waste management, budget control, and maintaining a balanced scoreboard to run the department profitably and sustainably
• Ensuring compliance with relevant laws and regulations and staying up to date with new standards
• Monitoring and improving energy usage and ensuring the hotel performs according to environmental policies
• Managing suppliers and ongoing service agreements
• Day-to-day maintenance including painting, repairs, and care of outdoor areas in collaboration with maintenance
• Understanding that guest needs take priority and ensuring all hotel facilities and features are fully functional

Qualifications

• You have a technical background with experience in operational management of complex buildings, or a background in a Housekeeping Managerial position with an interest in technical control systems
• Ideally with a background in leadership
• A sound financial grasp and understanding of how energy usage affects the hotel’s bottom line
• Flexible, enjoy solving problems, and can be available at short notice
• A positive outlook, excellent communication skills, diligence, and a hard-working approach
• Organised, methodical, and clear

As a Manager at Comfort Hotel, you need to be proficient in both English and a Scandinavian language. Additional language skills may be beneficial to your application.
