Job summary

Kongsberg Maritime AS, within Automation & Control, is seeking a dedicated HW Test Engineer to join our team in Kongsberg. You will handle assembly, connection, testing and troubleshooting of HW and SW on our equipment, contributing to high quality deliveries.

You will also help train apprentices, develop internal work instructions, and support continuous improvement. Fluency in Norwegian and English, practical installation experience and a customer‑oriented mindset are essential.

Qualifications

• Certificate in relevant subject areas such as electrical, automation and computer/electronics.
• Practical experience with technical installations.
• Experience with electromechanical work is an advantage.
• Fluent in Norwegian and English, both oral and written.
• General computer knowledge.
• Good workmanship.

Overview (English)

Kongsberg Maritime AS and its Automation & Control business unit deliver world‑leading automation solutions for i.a. process control and safety systems to offshore vessels and oil & gas installations worldwide. We are in an exciting growth period and are looking for a dedicated hardware Test Engineer to strengthen our dedicated team and who wants to be part of our journey ahead.

As a HW Test Engineer with us, you will be part of our dynamic team composed of different experience, expertise and age. We emphasize sharing knowledge and cultivating a work culture that not only facilitates the best possible well‑being, but also promotes an efficient working day.

Your tasks will be related to assembly and connection, testing, and troubleshooting of new and upgrades deliveries of Kongsberg Maritime's equipment. You will also be involved in other tasks in the department such as training apprentices and new employees, developing and maintaining the department's internal documentation such as work instructions and checklists, as well as the department's process and improvement work.

Our products are mainly positioning management, thruster control and automation control systems.

We are looking for a person who is motivated to take responsibility for quality and efficiency in project implementation, focuses on good cooperation, competence sharing and clear communication.

Produktene våre er hovedsakelig HW til posisjoneringssystemer, propellkontroll og automatiserte kontroll systemer.

• Generell datakunnskap.
• God utførelse kunnskap (Workmanship)
