Job summary

Nofence, a Norwegian scale-up, is building the world's first virtual fencing solution for livestock. We are looking for a Hardware Reliability Manager to lead the Validation and Failure Analysis within the Hardware Reliability Team, ensuring lab replication of real-world conditions and coordinating field investigations.

You will steer validation and quality strategy, manage cross-functional teams across hardware and software, and travel to meet end-users and colleagues across the Nordic region

Qualifications

• Bachelor or Master degree in engineering or another relevant degree.
• Experience leading hardware and software engineering activities.
• Experience leading cross-functional teams at a technical level.
• Excellent analytical skills.
• Proven project management skills.
• Knowledge of international testing standards.

Responsibilities

• Shape the overall validation and quality strategy to match business goals and risk tolerance.
• Lead the Hardware Reliability Team across new and existing products - setting priorities, allocating resources across projects, clearing roadblocks, and keeping the team on track.
• Deliver clear, structured reporting on test progress, pass/fail metrics, and overall quality status.
• Own end-to-end mechanical, electronics, and embedded validation plans from early product development through mass production and failure analysis.
• Serve as a service point for internal stakeholders on validation and product quality.
• Plan, conduct, and execute field testing under real-world operating conditions to validate product performance and catch issue trends early.
• Monitor collar performance in the field after we release the product.
• Coordinate validation activities delivered to the engineering and manufacturing teams.
