Job summary

SurplusMap is seeking a Data Engineer Intern to bolster data pipelines and cloud infrastructure. You will work with senior engineers to handle large datasets, run ETL workflows, and apply AI tools to power green energy initiatives.

You will gain hands-on experience with Google Cloud, BigQuery, DBT, Dataform, and Terraform, contributing to geospatial analyses and energy forecasting. A passion for sustainability is a plus.

Qualifications

• Hands-on experience with data pipelines, ETL, and data storage solutions.
• Familiarity with cloud-based data platforms and tooling is beneficial.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain data pipelines and ETL processes.
• Utilize Google Cloud tools like BigQuery for data storage and analysis.
• Work with DBT and Dataform to build robust data transformation workflows.
• Assist in managing cloud infrastructure with Terraform (nice to have).
• Ensure data integrity and security across platforms.
