Job summary

WESTERN BULK MANAGEMENT AS is seeking an IT Manager to lead daily IT operations for a global shipping operator. You will own the IT platform used by a senior, globally distributed commercial organization and report to a capable technology team of four.

This role is hands-on, with no middle layer between you and users, offering autonomy to shape IT policies, security practices, and cloud Identity strategies across Oslo, Singapore, Dubai and beyond.

Qualifications

• Experience in IT operations, service management, or infrastructure roles.
• Hands-on experience running Microsoft 365 and Entra ID in a global environment.
• Working knowledge of networks, firewalls and security tooling.
• Experience with endpoint security tooling and handling security alerts.
• Device management experience across Apple and Microsoft devices, preferably with relevant EM and MDM tools.

Responsibilities

• Lead the day-to-day IT operations for a global shipping operator.
• Own the IT platform used by a senior, globally distributed organization.
• Oversee device management, security monitoring, and access control across offices.
• Manage network infrastructure, firewalls, and cloud-based meeting room tech.
• Drive purchasing, inventory, and vendor relationships for hardware and licenses.
